We recommend a walk along the path that leads from the famous Piazzetta to the Castello Brown, passing by Marina di Portofino, where you can visit the open-air museum, which presents contemporary art sculptures by world-renowned artists.
Along the climb you can admire the 12th century Church of San Giorgio, the patron saint of Portofino, whose feast is celebrated on April 23 with a traditional bonfire in the square.
Continuing the walk along the narrow path, you will find yourself at Castello Brown. The scenic fortress with fairy tale garden and dream terraces from where it is possible to have the most extraordinary view of Portofino. Continuing on the path you can reach the lighthouse of Punta di Capo, which offers a breath-taking view.
Two kilometres from the centre towards Santa Margherita Ligure is Paraggi, the only equipped beach in Portofino, with crystal clear waters, surrounded by lush vegetation. This beach is very popular with celebrities.

One of the most popular paths is the fascinating Passeggiata dei Baci (Path of Kisses) between Portofino and Paraggi, which offers visitors magnificent views of the sea. We can recommend this route to everyone, even to the laziest ones, because the path is very easy and it takes about 20 minutes to walk it. Another medium difficulty route Portofino – San Fruttuoso, 3250 meters, takes about 2 h 35 min.
This path runs along the upper level of the promontory along the coast and offers the opportunity to enjoy a unique panorama.
An easier way instead to reach San Fruttuoso is on board a boat.
